Program Description
The last couple years have brought disruptions of all kinds, and one digital disrupter of the moment are NFTs—non-fungible tokens. Just what are NFTs, and how are they changing traditional markets while continuing to innovate in the digital world? This program will provide an in-depth overview of NFTs to assist IP practitioners navigate and shape the changing landscape.
On the diversity and inclusion front, DE&I initiatives are striving to make an impact across a wide range of industries, including the legal profession. How have leaders in traditionally less diverse industries faced challenges and found ways to drive diversity and inclusion? This panel will discuss strategies and lessons learned from DE&I leaders, and what legal practitioners can do to help the profession, their own practices, and their clients succeed in improving DE&I.
Appropriate for both new attorneys and seasoned practitioners, the emerging trends component offers 2 CLE Areas of Professional Practice credits, and will provide an overview of fast growing and emerging NFT technologies, related key legal updates pertinent to core IP practices, and practical advice for advising clients on these new technologies. The diversity and inclusion component offers 1.5 CLE Diversity, Inclusion and Elimination of Bias credits.
Join the IP Section’s Fall Meeting in December for an introduction to these fascinating topics, and meet back with us next year at the January Annual Meeting for additional insight into NFTs, DE&I, and many more key IP developments and practice updates.
