Key Changes To Commercial Real Estate Provisions Under The Bankruptcy Code
This program will explore not only the changes over the past year to the Bankruptcy Code on key provisions impacting commercial real estate leases, but also the extensions of time, new deadlines for assumption and rejection of leases and cause of such extensions as created by The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act ("CARES Act") and the Consolidated Appropriations Act 2021 [Including Coronavirus Stimulus & Relief] ("CAA"). We will also explore current deadlines and moratoriums under NY and Federal law for evictions, guarantor litigation and related statutes. The program will offer practical considerations and advice for counsel in dealing with distressed commercial tenants and properties.
