Hon. Gerald Lebovits is an acting Supreme Court justice in Manhattan and president of the 300-judge NYS Association of Acting Supreme Court Justices.

He previously served for nine years as a New York City Housing Court Judge. He was the President of the NYC Association of Housing Court Judges.

A co-author of all 12 editions of the State Bar's book "New York Residential Landlord-Tenant Law & Procedure," he has also published over 30 articles on landlord-tenant law.

Formerly the co-chair of the Landlord-Tenant Committee of the State Bar's Real Property Section, Lebovits is an adjunct professor at Fordham University School of Law, at which he teaches landlord-tenant law and at which the students elected him Adjunct Professor of the Year.
