Pro Bono DACA Renewals After The Texas V US Injunction
In spite of Judge Andrew Hanen’s July 16, 2021 decision declaring the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program “illegal” and his injunction barring adjudication of initial DACA applications, current DACA registrants remain eligible to renew their status. This training will provide an overview of the eligibility criteria and the application process, as well as issues to be mindful of when providing limited-scope, pro bono assistance with DACA renewals.
