- Explore the many facets of technology, including the risks associated with social media, location-based services, call and text spoofing, online dating, tracking software, and more; all of which are used daily.
- View “spoofing” demo and learn how to work with the courts to authenticate calls and texts.
- Explore the realm of social media and the effects that it can have on a case. Attendees will learn simple techniques to be able to validate and use social media posts and messages in their cases.
- Review evidence collection strategies and some legal case law discussions on how technology is being interpreted and ruled on by current judges.
- Define common behaviors in relevant case types (i.e., high conflict, DV, IPV, orders for protection).
- Discuss how OFW has evolved since its pilot project to address these prevalent behaviors.
- Explore the OFW toolset for parents. Analyze the interface and how built-in rules promote accountability and boundaries.
- Examine court order and agreement examples, including relevant appellate decisions.
- Review the OFW Fee Waiver Program for Domestic Violence Survivors and the ways our tools work to protect and empower parents.
