U.S. Supreme Court Decision on Affirmative Action & Its Impact on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Law

This program shall discuss the U.S. Supreme Court decision dated June 29, 2023: Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. President and Fellow of Harvard College, No. 20-1199, together with Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. Univ. of North Carolina, No. 21-707. On June 29, 2023, the U.S. Supreme Court held the use of race in university and college admissions to be unconstitutional. The panel will provide participants with a unique practice perspective on navigating the Court's decision and further discuss how this decision will extend beyond the academic world to the broader employment and work environment and beyond. The panel will also focus on what it means for the future of diversity, equity, and inclusion and environmental, social, and governance programs (ESG) in the workplace and society.
