Unemployment Insurance Update: Recently Enacted Legislation Surrounding Partial Unemployment
In the 2021 legislative session, the Senate and Assembly passed legislation reforming the State’s current partial unemployment structure. This legislation, which has now signed into law, moves away from the current penalty-based system for those who are partially employed, and establishes an earnings-based system to provide a more equitable computation of partial unemployment. This program will cover the upcoming changes to the partial unemployment calculations and structure.
