Zoning Due Diligence in NYC: Finding Red Flags in Commercial Transactions
This program will cover key zoning and land use considerations when conducting due diligence in NYC real estate acquisitions. It will assist attorneys who typically practice outside of NYC on key “red flags” and when it is best to bring in a NYC attorney to assist with a hairy zoning issue. Topics will include a summary of NYC land use agencies and approvals, how to search for approvals and violations beyond what is typically provided in a title report, and basics of key Certificate of Occupancy issues and violations.
