NY Attorneys Condemn Government Shutdown

New York’s state bar association, which is comprised of more than 70,000 attorneys across the state, called for an end to the shutdown this week, calling the situation a “dereliction of duty” and a “constitutional crisis.”
NYSBA’s 278-member House of Delegates unanimously adopted a resolution on Jan. 18 condemning the federal government shutdown and calling for it to end immediately. It’s members will be presenting a similar resolution to the American Bar Association House of Delegates at its meeting on Jan. 28.
