Public Hearing Set for October 13 on Judicial Pay

The New York State Commission on Legislative, Executive and Judicial Compensation is holding a public hearing in New York City next week. The hearing will be livestreamed on the commission’s website. Commissioners will hear testimony at 10 a.m. Friday Oct. 13 at the New York City Bar Association’s CLE Center on West 44th Street in Manhattan.
Attorneys and members of the public are invited to testify at the hearing. To testify in person or submit written testimony, email the commission at [email protected]. Written testimony will be posted on the commission’s website.
The commission is an independent body whose task is to examine, evaluate and make recommendations on the compensation for New York State’s judges, members of the state Legislature and state officials named in section 169 of the Executive Law. The commission will release a report with recommendations on judicial pay in December 2023 and a report on legislative pay by November of 2024.
