Various topics will be covered including court enforcement (or not) of non-compete clauses; proposed FTC regulations to limit the use or enforceability of non-compete clauses; proposed or enacted New York legislation to eliminate the use or enforceability of non-compete clauses; the impact on employers; implications for mergers and acquisitions; and franchise law issues.

Artificial Intelligence – Practical Use of AI
The panel will present and discuss topics related to the state of the art of Artificial Intelligence tools available to law firms, general counsels, and legal professionals in general. Among the various topics, the panel will cover issues like privacy, legal risks, liabilities, cybersecurity, dataset, hallucinations, copyrights, trade secrets, and pending litigation.

  • The Corporate Transparency Act becomes effective January 1, 2024. What does it mean for businesses?
  • Did Governor Hochul Sign the LLC Transparency Act? What additional obligations does (or would) this impose? Why?

  • Which types of businesses should use service companies to assist them with compliance?
