On April 5, notorious former consultant Todd Howe is scheduled to be sentenced in U.S. District Court in Manhattan for multiple felonies — bribery, bid-rigging and fraud among them.
It will be the conclusion of a chapter that probably cannot end fast enough for Howe’s former legal and lobbying firm, Whiteman Osterman & Hanna in Albany. Hanna became unwittingly embroiled in the case against Howe, a Troy-bred grifter and one-time aide to former Gov. Mario Cuomo — and later his son when the future governor was attorney general.
