New York State Veteran Advocate of the Year Award Presentation
Presentation of the New York State Veteran Advocate of the Year award to Daniel C. Perrone III whose legal and legislative advocacy for military veterans in New York and nationwide has had a profound impact. The award will be presented to Mr. Perrone by Hon. Robert Russell, both the inaugural winner of the award in 2021 as well as for whom the award is now named.

Update and Refresher on Legal Issues facing Servicemembers and Veterans
Legislation and legal requirements in connection with legal matters facing our Servicemembers and Veterans are constantly being amended, proposed, and implemented. It is important for practitioners who provide legal services to this important part of our population to be aware of those changes. Ben Pomerance, Deputy Director for Program Development and Training with the NYS Division of Veterans’ Affairs will provide a high-level survey of the current state of affairs of such new and changed legislation affecting NYS Servicemembers and Veterans.
