The Business Law Section is an interdisciplinary association of over 3,200 lawyers, primarily committed to advancing the practice and erudition of its members in Business law.

Message from the Section Chair

“This Section presently has more than 15 Committees, including Banking, Bankruptcy, Business Organizations, Derivatives & Structured Products, Franchise & Licensing, Insurance, Legislative Affairs, Mergers & Acquisitions, Not-for-Profit Corporations, Securities Regulation, Technology & Venture Law, and Wine, Beer & Spirits, among others, which host panels and symposia to ensure that members are regularly updated as to recent developments in their particular practice areas. Our members continuously benefit from active networking opportunities and sharing experiences on a daily basis, so we welcome you to join us and participate in these discussions as much as possible.”

Our Publication

The NY Business Law Journal features peer-written substantive articles relating to the practice of business law. It is designed to provide practice-oriented insight and guidance relevant to the business law practitioner, with special emphasis on lawyers who practice in the State of New York. Edited by David L. Glass (Editor-in-Chief) and Prof. James D. Redwood (Managing Editor), the NY Business Law Journal is published twice per year by the Business Law Section and distributed to Section Members free of charge.
