Committee on Insurance Disputes (Dispute Resolution)

The Dispute Resolution Section strives to recognize negotiation, collaboration, mediation, neutral evaluation, arbitration, and emerging hybrid dispute resolution methods as indispensable legal tools. As such, the Section’s Insurance Disputes Committee is organized to provide bar members, arbitrators, mediators and advocates, with insurance expertise or those developing expertise in the subject, with a forum in which to discuss how the various alternative dispute resolution methods are being used to resolve disputes involving commercial agreements, and how those methods are impacted by social, legal and technology developments. The Committee is designed to allow members to address the impacts, developments and best practices affecting ADR and Insurance via published articles, panel discussions, and invited speakers.
