Changes To The Medicaid Home Care Regime In New York State: What We Know And What We Don’t Yet Know (Webinar)
Practitioners David Goldfarb, Richard Weinblatt and Valerie Bogart will guide participants through the new NYS Medicaid legislation including the 30 month look-back period for Home Care Applications that will likely go into effect on October 1st, changes to the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance and Personal Care Services eligibility requirements, and overall changes to assessment tools and oversight that will be phased in over the next two years. The presenters will discuss the many open questions that remain and the issues that will need clarification either by further action of the legislature or through Directive from the Department of Health. Elder Law & Special Needs Section Chair, Tara Anne Pleat will moderate any questions that are raised by attendees during this program.
