Forest Bathing: An Introduction to Nature Based Well-Being
Join Cultured Forest for a 30-minute workshop discussing the research surrounding the health benefits of practicing Japanese Forest Bathing followed by a demo of our guided nature meditation, creative writing and goal setting around spending time in Nature.
Brooke Mellen (she/her) has 20 years of experience in Insurance and Art Business with a Masters in Visual Arts Administration from New York University. She has been featured by Wall Street Journal, Vogue and The Today Show. In 2019 she felt compelled to study well-being and nature connection in forests to support her own health journey and to inspire others to spend time outdoors, and so founded Cultured Forest. Through this endeavor she advises on nature based well-being solutions inspired by Japanese Forest Bathing. She designs wellness experiences that are grounded in sustainability and risk management.
Brooke previously worked at several organizations including Sotheby’s, Marsh, Jack Shainman Gallery and W.R. Berkley, and she uses this background in business development and project management to provide her clients with bespoke nature and art immersion experiences.
Brooke is Certified in Forest Medicine by the International Society of Nature and Forest Medicine (INFOM) and holds a Certificate in Forest Therapy from the International Nature and Forest Therapy Alliance (INFTA). She studied Forest Therapy internationally and has led Forest Bathing events since 2019. During Covid she pivoted the business to offer virtual workshops and training.
