I. The Basics of Family Law for Military and Veterans
There are family law rules and regulations that are specific to current and former service members. Retired Lieutenant Colonel Gary Port will give a primer on military family law and dive into topics that commonly occur when representing a military servicemember or veteran.

II. DEI, Ethics, and Justice Access
The Honorable Edwina Richardson is the Deputy Chief Administrative Judge of New York State's Unified Court System's Office for Justice Initiative, which is tasked with ensuring meaningful access to justice for all New Yorkers. She will speak about her work in this role, especially as it relates to DEI, ethics, and access to justice.

III. Rights and Obligations Provided by USERRA
The Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) legislation protects servicemembers in the workplace. Patrick Scotti of the DOJ will speak on the legal framework of these protections and provide an update on recent USERRA cases.

IV. Panel: Security Clearances, Army Review Board Agency, and Other Useful Information for Legal Assistance Attorneys
Practicing judge advocates may be asked to provide legal assistance to servicemembers who have questions about legal-adjacent topics such as security clearance issues or how to go about appealing or correcting military records. Gary Port will moderate a panel of an Army Command Security Manager and
attorney from the Army Review Board Agency to discuss commonly asked questions when providing legal assistance to these clients.

V. Administrative Impacts of Criminal Issues
