Meet NY’s Commercial Judges-by And For Junior Lawyers – Part 1

Meet NY’s Commercial Judges Part 1_675

The Commercial and Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar is having a year long series devoted to having junior attorneys interact and learn from New York’s Commercial Division Justices. We encourage you to invite junior attorneys from your firm to attend which they can do virtually from the office. There is so much to learn. It is free and invaluable for learning what these jurists expect from lawyers who appear before them and other strategies for success in the Commercial Division.

This multi-part program which will involve young lawyers being paired with Commercial Division Justices to put on a "casual" conversation geared to what young lawyers (or future lawyers) should know about the court system and appearing before the Bar Association.

This season's first guest: Justice Andrea Masley

Justice Andrea Masley was elected as a Justice to the New York State Supreme Court in 2016 and assigned to the Commercial Division in 2017. She was elected to a ten-year term in the New York City Civil Court in 2007 and assigned to Family Court from 2008 to 2010.
