The Habits of Highly Effective Dispute Resolvers featuring the Dispute Prevention Committee

Previous events in this series were an overwhelming success. This event will feature the Dispute Prevention Committee of the NYSBA Dispute Resolution Sectionco-chairs Myrna Barakat Friedman and Erin E. Gleason Alvarez who will discuss the Committee’s objectives as well as various relevant topics including how Dispute Prevention differs from Mediation, the types of Dispute Prevention methods used, among others.  The panel discussion will include an opportunity for Q & A. The second part of the evening will include a speed networking opportunity among the attendees and speakers. Previous attendees have commented that the speed networking provided a novel and fun way to get to know other attendees. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to hear from successful practitioners as well as to meet others across the NYSBA membership spectrum. This program will be valuable both for neutrals and for advocates, whether experienced or new to ADR.
