The New NYS Court ADR Rules: What They Mean for Counsel, Parties, and Neutrals
Join the Labor & Employment and Dispute Resolution Sections to learn about New York State Court's new rules mandating that most cases go to ADR as soon as practicable. Speakers will discuss what "as soon as practicable" might mean and how mediators and advocates can make the best use of early mediation. We'll discuss what the courts' ADR division will look like, how mediation programs may vary from one department to another, and how they vary from the federal courts' mediation programs. Also hear how mediation may differ depending on the timing of when it is held and some different strategies attorneys and mediators may use to help resolve cases.
