The Trusts & Estates Law Section Fall Meeting offers participants the opportunities to:

Transfer tax planning would be easy if clients were willing to “just give it away,” but human nature is such that most clients demand a more nuanced approach to their transfer tax planning, whereby they’ve retained the maximum permissible amount of control and enjoyment. This presentation will examine what powers and rights can permissibly be retained by the donor without unnecessarily exposing the transferred property to creditors, and without causing the transferred property to later be taxed as a part of the donor’s estate.”
