Virtual Tour Of Lower Manhattan’s Architectural Gems And Notable Women In And Around The Courts
Please join the Women in Law Section on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 pm ET for a virtual architectural tour of New York City. Abby Suckle, FAIA, LEED Architect and President of cultureNOW: Museum Without Walls and author of Cocktails and Conversations: Dialogues on Architectural Design, 2018, will lead this exciting tour of impressive New York City buildings and structures, including the 1872 Tweed Court House, the Working Woman’s Association and our beloved New York County Court House. Following the tour, we will have a virtual networking get-together from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. ET to discuss our favorite sights and drink Manhattans (or another alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage of your choice).

2 Dashes real bitters
Orange twist or Maraschino Cherry

2 Dashes real bitters
1.5 oz non-alcoholic sweet red wine
1 oz. non-alcoholic vanilla extract
1 oz. unsweetened apple juice

Legend has it that this classy cocktail was invented in the mid-1870s at a banquet hosted in honor of Samuel J. Tilden, a then presidential candidate, at the Manhattan Club in New York City. The banquet was a huge success. In future get togethers, people requested the same drink they had at the Manhattan Club, which is how it got the name.
