Our breath has the unique quality of being a part of the world around us and also part of the world inside us. Breathing is a unique physical system in that you have the ability to control it. When you forget that you can control your breathing, internal systems responding to the stress of the moment take over your breathing pattern and limit your ability to manage stress. Find out how these and other attributes make the study and practice of intentional breathing beneficial for stress management and a better quality of life.
