Advancing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) has become more challenging for corporations and law firms in the last few years. New York corporations and firms (collectively “businesses”) are facing (1) an emerging patchwork of conflicting state DEI laws and regulations; (2) conservative SCOTUS opinions upending settled federal law and (3) regulatory focus on minimizing discriminatory decision-making by emerging technology while trying to embrace tools like AI to spur business growth and increase productivity. Three panels help viewers sort through this thicket of issues to prioritize the areas businesses should focus on to continue to advance their goals of DEI through this challenging time.
