EASL Spring 2021 Meeting: Olympics 2020 in 2021
The first in a series of 4 panels for the EASL Spring Meeting.
This panel will discuss the myriad of issues leading up to and surrounding the sure to be infamous Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, scheduled to be held in 2021. Olympic athletes will provide perspective on her past participation in Olympic Games and one will discuss how legal proceedings in the doping cases of other athletes impacted her Olympic experience and legacy. Other panelists will explain and explore the unique eco-system of Olympic sports disputes. The panel will discuss the latest controversies surrounding the Tokyo Games, including whether or not they should or will take place. Finally, the impact of the Olympic Games happening in a Covid pandemic bubble, or not happening at all, will be addressed.
