Long Term Care: Perils of the Pandemic
The purpose of this CLE is to provide attorneys with information to better understand the rights of residents in nursing homes (regardless of whether their stay is for short-term rehabilitation or long-term care) to discharge planning, involuntary discharges and the appeal process. This CLE will also provide an overview of Medicaid home care and the most recent changes in obtaining and maintaining home care. Speakers present with the goal to equip attorneys with the necessary resources and tools to navigate nursing home discharges, both voluntary and involuntary, as well as challenges that may affect access to home care such as aide shortages and fair hearing delays.
