New Medicaid Independent Assessor Procedures for Medicaid Home Care Applications
On May 16, 2022, NYS is launching a new “Independent Assessor” system for Medicaid recipients to apply to enroll in Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) plans, or to apply to their local Medicaid offices for personal care or consumer-directed (CDPAP) services if they are exempt from MLTC plans. Some new applicants for these services will not be using the new system until July 1st.
