Over the past two decades social media has played a major role in several high-profile jury trials including Paltrow v. Sanderson and Depp v. Heard. This program explores the lessons learned in these high-profile matters that are instructive across a broad spectrum of jury trials. There has also been a great focus within the profession on “nuclear verdicts.” This program examines the impact of social inflation on jury verdicts with a particular focus on the topics of perceived inflation and the normalization of nuclear verdicts.
