Meet NY’s Commercial Judges-by And For Junior Lawyers – Part 3
The Commercial and Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar is having a year long series devoted to having junior attorneys interact and learn from New York’s Commercial Division Justices. This session will feature Hon. Lawrence Knipel. We encourage you to invite junior attorneys from your firm to attend which they can do virtually from the office. There is so much to learn. It is free and invaluable for learning what these jurists expect from lawyers who appear before them and other strategies for success in the Commercial Division. This program is a Section member benefit and only open to Commercial and Federal Litigation Section members and will not be recorded – don't miss out!
This multi-part program which will involve young lawyers being paired with Commercial Division Justices to put on a "casual" conversation geared to what young lawyers (or future lawyers) should know about the court system and appearing before the Bar Association.

JUSTICE LAWRENCE KNIPEL is New York State Administrative Judge for Civil Matters, Second Judicial District (Kings County, Brooklyn). He has implemented many innovative programs to streamline court procedures and increase efficiency, including the inauguration of the nation’s largest and most comprehensive central pre-trial discovery complex. In addition to his administrative duties, Justice Knipel continues to preside over Commercial matters.
