Cultural Outings for Friday, July 21, 2023 (Optional) 

2:00 p.m.- Independence Hall National Park Tour | Visitor Center at 6th & Market Streets – This event is sold out!

Join us for a National Park Service guided tour of Independence Hall.

*This event is sold out! Preregistration is required.

 

2:00 p.m. – The Barnes Collection | 320 North 20th Street/2025 Benjamin Franklin Parkway 

This self-guided tour begins with a 30-minute presentation by a docent in the Barnes

auditorium on Dr. Barnes' unique perspective on displaying art. Then guests are welcome to explore the galleries at their own pace where you may immerse yourself in one of the greatest private collection of post-impressionist and early-modern art in existence. Explore more than 3,000 masterpieces, including 181 Renoirs, 69 Cezannes, 59 Matisses, 46 Picassos, 16 Modiglianis, and 7 Van Goghs, plus textiles, metalwork, decorative objects, African sculpture, Native American ceramics and jewelry, and Pennsylvania German furniture.

The Franklin Institute Museum | 222 North 20th Street/Benjamin Franklin Parkway

A short walk from the hotel, Pennsylvania’s most visited museum, the Franklin Institute has plenty to make Ben proud, including a 3D theater, indoor SkyBike, giant walk-through heart and four floors of interactive exhibits.

General Admission (Includes Museum Admission and access to the Fels Planetarium).

Pricing: Adult $25 | Child (Age 3-11) $21 | Senior (65+) $23

The Franklin Institute Museum Daytime Admission: Disney100: The Exhibition + Museum Access

(Includes a timed ticket for Disney100: The Exhibition plus access to all Franklin Institute permanent exhibits and a Fels Planetarium show).

Pricing: Adult (Age 12+) $45 | Child (Age 3-11) $41 | Senior (65+) $43

*Tickets can only be purchased directly with The Franklin InstituteThis exhibit is expected to sell out fast.

Please be sure to purchase your tickets as soon as possible for the 3:30 p.m. timeslot to ensure you can tour the exhibit alongside your ELSN peers.
