Coercive Control and Domestic Violence: What Is It? How Do You Prove It?

Coercive Control and Domestic Violence: What Is It? How Do You Prove It?

CoerciveControlAndDomesticViolence_675

What is trauma-informed representation and how can legal advocates and attorneys who work with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault take a trauma-informed approach to their work?

As more organizations adopt a trauma-informed approach to domestic violence and sexual assault cases, advocates need to understand how best to apply these techniques in real world situations. This webinar will provide a practical framework and offer concrete tips for applying a trauma-informed approach to supporting survivors in the context of interviews and legal proceedings. A core component of the CLE is the demonstration of the tools and sensitivity techniques via mock interviews. The program will also cover new and proposed legislation on coercive control.

This webinar is intended for those already familiar with trauma-informed representation, as well as those new to it.
