Commercial Arbitration Spring 2022
Contemporary Arbitration and Mediation – How We Can Do Better
Program Co-Chairs
Charles J. Moxley, Jr., Esq. | MoxleyADR LLC
Jeffrey T. Zaino, Esq. | American Arbitration Association
Program Description
This annual Fordham/State Bar conference on ADR is intended for practicing arbitrators and mediators and for counsel in arbitration and mediation. Speakers will include leading ADR practitioners, both counsel and neutrals, and ranking representatives of major ADR providers, along with academics specializing in the area. The focus of this virtual conference will be to take a fresh look at ways we can all improve our practices as arbitrators, mediators, counsel, and providers. Credit for ethics included. We will also have a panel of representatives of the judiciary and the Bar on how the Bar can assist New York’s Chief Judge Janet DiFiore bold initiative for presumptive mediation in civil cases in the New York court system. And also a panel on how we can harness our ADR skills to help address some of the huge problems facing our country.
Who Should Attend
This program is designed for arbitrators and counsel in arbitrations who would like to explore ways as neutrals and counsel to assure that their arbitrations achieve the arbitration objectives of justice, flexibility, efficiency, and economy – whether in person or virtually.
