Legal Update: Representing Transgender Youth
This past year, legislators across the country pushed and in a number of cases passed legislation LGBTQ+ against young people, specifically targeting transgender young people, their families, and health care providers. These proposed laws target all aspects of their lives including learning about and discussing LGBTQ history and their own identities, ability to participate in sports, and their right to health care. Panelists will discuss current litigation challenging these laws and other advocacy to oppose these hostile and dangerous efforts — and ways we can support LGBTQ+ young people.
