Pre & Post Title IX Lived Experiences: A Conversation

Pre & Post Title IX Lived Experiences: A Conversation

Pre & Post Title IX Lived Experiences_New_675

The Sports Law Committee cordially invites you to share your lived (or observed) experiences as a female athlete – or brother, sister, mother, father, aunt, uncle, grandmother, grandfather, or coach of a female athlete — in the years prior to or after the enactment of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, on June 23, 1972. Participants will share and compare the opportunities, support services, equipment and facilities available, or not, to female high school and college athletes then and now. This celebration of the 50th anniversary of the enactment of Title IX will end with an assessment of how far we have come, and a discussion of goals yet to be achieved for female high school and college athletes. This is an open forum for conversation and reflection. All participants are encouraged to let your voices and experiences be shared.
