This program will teach attorneys (corporate, litigation, bankruptcy, matrimonial and other) what they should look for when having to read a financial statement in connection with a merger, bankruptcy, matrimonial matter, filings with the SEC or a litigation. It will assist them in understanding what various accounts really mean and where to find “hidden treasures” within the financial statements and/or notes to the financial statements. The program will also cover the role of lawyers and accountants in giving tax opinions determining if tax reserves are required on financial statements and best practices to work together and serve mutual clients.
