The Emergency Rental Assistance Program
The presentation will provide an overview of ERAP detailing the eligibility criteria and the documents/information required to complete the application. The program will highlight the conditions agreed to by landlords when ERAP funds are received, as well as how to preserve lawful increases to a rent stabilized unit's legal rent during the ERAP rent freeze. The program will conclude with a discussion of court decisions regarding motions seeking to lift the automatic ERAP stay.
