The following programs in the Health Law Curriculum are designed to provide attorneys at all levels with resources and tools to support career development and the practice of health law. The programs will address the interplay between applicable federal and New York State laws. We are indebted to our Section members, who include some of the most knowledgeable and experienced health care attorneys in New York, for sharing their expertise and contributing to the programs in this Curriculum. This module addresses the federal and state regulations governing institutional and non-institutional provider operations. These include federal and state standards relating to matters such as patient rights; assessment and care planning; quality of life; quality of care; clinical services; food and nutrition services; administration; emergency preparedness; infection control; and the physical environment.
